The 3 Questions That Define Your Personal Brand on LinkedIn
How You Can Go Deeper and Wider to Answer Each
Most professionals on LinkedIn are invisible. Not because they lack expertise, but because they haven't answered three fundamental questions.
I learned this the hard way. For months I posted content, optimized my profile, and engaged with others, yet people still asked me, "What exactly do you do?" My presence was active but my brand was unclear.
Everything changed when I got honest about three questions.
Question One: Who Do You Serve?
Not everyone. That's not an answer. Your personal brand starts with specificity. The more precisely you can describe who you help, the more those people recognize themselves in your content and profile.
Vague attracts no one. Specific attracts the right ones.
Question Two: What Transformation Do You Provide?
People don't pay for expertise. They pay for outcomes. Your personal brand isn't about what you know but about what changes for someone after they work with you.
Until you can articulate that transformation clearly, your audience won't understand why they need you.
Question Three: Why Should They Trust You?
LinkedIn is crowded with people claiming expertise. Your personal brand needs proof. Not just credentials, but demonstrated authority through how you show up, what you share, and the consistency of your presence.
Trust isn't claimed. It's built.
The Foundation Before the Tactics
Here's what most people get wrong. They jump straight into tactics, obsessing over posting times, hashtags, and hooks, without first establishing the foundation. They build on sand and wonder why nothing sticks.
Your personal brand is that foundation. Get it right, and the tactics finally work. Skip it, and you'll keep spinning your wheels wondering why LinkedIn isn't working for you.
Go Deeper with Me
I'm hosting a live workshop on Friday, January 10th at 9:30 AM Central where I'll walk you through exactly how to build a personal brand that attracts clients and establishes your authority on LinkedIn.
We'll cover the frameworks I used to go from invisible to in-demand, the same ones I teach in my book Synergy and use with my coaching clients.
Space is limited. If you're ready to stop being LinkedIn's best-kept secret, join me.
